LOOPHOLD Security Distribution, the local distributor of SonicWALL technology, has announced that SonicWALL has been named a finalist in the 2010 SC Awards for outstanding achievement in information technology (IT) security. The SonicWALL Network Security Appliance (NSA) E7500 is a finalist in the Best Enterprise Solution category of the Excellence Awards, which recognises companies with superior security products that help customers tackle today's pressing security challenges. The NSA E7500 is also a finalist in the Best Enterprise Firewall and Best Intrusion Detection/Prevention Solution categories in the Reader Trust Award competition, which honours best-in-class security products and services. Also finalists in the Reader Trust Award competition are the SonicWALL TZ 210 Wireless-N for Best Integrated Security Solution, the SonicWALL Aventail E-Class EX7000 for Best IPSec/SSL VPN, and the SonicWALL Universal Management Appliance (UMA) EM5000 for Best Policy Management Solution. Each SonicWALL product was selected from more than 600 entries submitted in more than 31 technology categories. All finalists will be reviewed and winners will be chosen by the Reader Trust Voting Panel - comprised of security and technology experts from large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets - representing the wide distribution of SC Magazine readers.
